Committee of 4000

  • Barbara was one of only two women involved and was one of the founders of the Committee serving as its first vice-president.
  • Barbara directed a campaign to raise $250, 000
  • Helped negotiate the final settlement with the Irvine Company which resulted in over $150,000 in savings for local residents.

Assistance League of Newport Beach

  • Created the idea for the re-opening of Fashion Island, raising more than $150,000 for charity.
  • Doubled the organization's charity dollars through new and innovative fund-raising techniques
